Try something new…

I find it interesting that as humans we like routine and things to stay the same and yet we like new experiences… but only when we choose to do them.shutterstock_111462035

Today’s Lent challenge is to see change as a good thing, it keeps us thinking about who we are and what we are here for. Coming to London has been a big change for me and I am finding it very different not having a mainstream hearing parish in my care. My routine has changed so much I feel a bit lost and confused at times. But the positive bit for me is that I am having to think about who and what I am. What has God called me to be? Do I need to change my thinking about how I worship and how I live out my life as a priest among the Deaf community? These questions might be hard to answer, but through the questions I begin to understand about myself a bit more and hopefully will find myself closer to God as a result. Change is hard work… but is usually worth it and it makes us healthy people.

So today you are asked to try something new… a new food or meal, a new experience maybe a new way to worship or read the bible?

  1. I am currently reading ‘The Picture Bible’ and I find it fascinating. I have not read it properly for some years till last weekend!
