When I lived in Devon this was the view I had from the sitting room and kitchen, an old cider orchard. In the spring the cows would be let out from their winter sheds and would run around the fields in excitement of seeing the grass again.
Springtime often meant some of the young cows (heifers) would be allowed to graze in the orchard before the apples ripened. Piran used to spend hours teasing the young cows and making them run off. They would always come back to have another look at him and if they got too close he would run up and down the fence to scare them away again. This looks like there is a bit stand-off between them all!
How different things are here in Archway… no cows and no sheep!
