Lent Preparations

This year you are invited to join the Deaf Churches across England to pray for each other and the Gospel among the Deaf Community. The prayer points have been put together by our National Deaf Ministry Advisor, The Rev. Canon Gill Behenna.

In these days leading up to the beginning of Lent, it is worth considering how you will make this a holy Lent, a time spent drawing closer to God and growing in your spiritual life.

Traditionally Lent is a time of Fasting and Self-Denial – that means going without something. Some people fast from food at certain times, other people will give up a treat such as chocolate or alcohol, whilst others will turn off their TV’s or social media.

Some members of the Deaf Churches across England will be fasting each week from 3pm Thursday until 3pm Friday – you might like to join them.

There will be a posting each day from March 6th until Easter Day with prayer points and other spiritual encouragement.
