Final Service at St. Saviour’s Church, Acton 24th September 2014

24th September 2014 was a day of mixed emotions as friends and members of the Acton Deaf Community gathered for the final service to be held at St Saviours Church. The service was led by the Rt Revd Peter Broadbent and the chaplain, the Revd Anne Richardson preached the sermon. Invited guests included the Revd Catherine Carlyon, the newly appointed chaplain due to start in December.

The Revd Anne preached on the parable of the sower, relating the story to how the church and Deaf Club community will remain faithful to each other and God in the uncertain months ahead.

After the service there was tea and further presentations made about the history of St. Saviours and the plans for the future.
